Colorado AOH was honored to stand in solidarity with our community this past Saturday as we gathered for a cross-divisional volunteer event at St. Patrick Oratory.

Brothers from across our divisions came together to perform essential landscaping work for the Poor Clares, rolling up our sleeves to beautify and maintain the sacred grounds they call home. It was a day defined by hard work, shared purpose, and deep camaraderie.

The Poor Clares have long been a beacon of prayer, devotion, and quiet service in our community, and it was a privilege to turn our appreciation into action. Our volunteers spent the day tackling essential groundskeeping, clearing brush, trimming greenery, and refreshing the landscape to ensure their sanctuary remains pristine.

A newly formed Immigrant Care Committee received a blessing from Auxiliary Bishop Jorge Rodriguez at Annunciation Catholic Church in Denver. It was a powerful moment of community solidarity for members of several communities at Annunciation, including multiple AOH divisions who gathered to witness Bishop Rodriguez celebrate a beautiful Mass and bless the parish’s new committee.

This vital new ministry is dedicated to supporting and advocating for the local immigrant community. Annunciation has long been a spiritual home for newcomers to Denver—historically Irish and now largely Hispanic—making it the perfect place for a committee focused on welcome, guidance, and dignity.

By centering our presence around the launch of this committee, Colorado AOH sought to show our support for their mission. As Irish-Americans, we recognize that the families arriving in Colorado today are living through the same story our ancestors lived generations ago: navigating displacement, uncertainty, and the immense challenge of building a new life in a foreign land.

The Ancient Order of Hibernians is thrilled to announce that the 2026 AOH & LAOH National Convention is coming to Omaha, Nebraska, this summer. Running from July 15 to July 19, 2026, this biennial gathering brings together Hibernians from across the United States to celebrate our shared heritage, conduct vital organizational business, and strengthen our fraternal bonds.

Omaha is deeply rooted in Irish-American history, making it the perfect backdrop for this year’s convention. Attendees will gather at the Hilton Omaha and the CHI Health Center to participate in crucial committee meetings, vote on national leadership, and join in special cultural events. Beyond the official sessions, the convention offers a unique opportunity to network with brothers and sisters nationwide who share a dedication to friendship, unity, and Christian charity.

If you are interested in representing your area, participating in the degrees, or attending the dynamic workshops scheduled for this summer, there has never been a better time to make your plans.

Anyone interested in attending should speak to their Division President to learn more about delegate registration, credentials, and accommodations.

Let’s gather in Omaha this July to ensure the future of the Order remains strong and vibrant!
