The Fr. Carrigan Division

The Fr. Carrigan Division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians proudly serves as a pillar of Irish-Catholic culture and community action across the historic neighborhoods of East Denver. Our division takes its name and its inspiration from Father Joseph P. Carrigan, a legendary figure in Colorado history who spent nearly three decades as the devoted pastor of Annunciation Catholic Parish in Denver’s Eastside. Father Carrigan was a fierce champion for working-class immigrant families, a builder of schools and community lifelines, and an early pioneer of Irish cultural heritage in the West. Today, members walk in his footsteps, maintaining deep generational ties to the historic parishes and communities of the area while looking forward to a vibrant future.

A general donation to the Fr. Carrigan Division directly funds our ongoing mission of Friendship, Unity, and Christian Charity right here in our local neighborhoods. You can also help support the Pink Bibles Project or the Daniel O’Connell Legal Fund. Your financial support allows us to maintain our local charitable outreach, fund community service initiatives, and preserve the incredibly rich history of the Irish immigrant families who helped lay the foundations of East Denver. By contributing to our general fund, you help honor Father Carrigan’s enduring legacy at Annunciation Parish and ensure that our division remains a powerful force for good, brotherhood, and cultural pride for generations to come.
