Our Mission: Faith, Friendship, and Irish Heritage

The Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH) is the oldest and largest Irish Catholic fraternal organization in the world. Founded in 1836, the AOH was established to protect the clergy and the church property of the Irish immigrants, and to aid newly arrived Irish in their time of need. Today, the Colorado AOH proudly carries on this tradition right here in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains.

We invite all Catholic men of Irish birth or descent to join us as we celebrate our enduring Irish heritage and strengthen our Catholic faith.

The Four Pillars of the Colorado AOH

Our brotherhood is founded upon four unbreakable pillars that define our purpose, guide our actions, and foster deep fellowship among our members across the state.

1. Faith (Fírinne)

We are dedicated to upholding the spiritual traditions of Ireland, preserving the Catholic faith, and honoring the legacy of our ancestors. We actively support the local Catholic clergy and institutions through service, prayer, and charitable acts, ensuring our faith remains the cornerstone of our lives.

2. Friendship (Cairdeas)

The AOH offers a true and welcoming brotherhood, a Fraternity built on mutual loyalty and support. We provide a space for Catholic men of Irish descent to connect, share experiences, and build lasting friendships. This fellowship transcends generations, creating a strong network that benefits both our members and their families.

3. Charity (Carthanas)

In the spirit of Christian compassion and giving, we are committed to Charity. Our divisions are actively involved in community service, fundraising, and providing aid to those in need. We focus on assisting Catholic charities and initiatives within Colorado, ensuring that our collective generosity makes a tangible, local impact.

4. Culture (Cultúr)

We strive to preserve, promote, and celebrate Irish culture, history, and traditions in Colorado. Through music, language, historical education, and festive celebrations—especially our vibrant St. Patrick’s Day parades—we ensure that the rich and unique heritage of Ireland thrives for generations to come.

We welcome everyone of Irish descent. Whether you were born in Cork or adopted into an Irish-American family, you are our brother!
